Latest update from African Gold
Its fishing its head off down in South Africa.
Keith Purton who is based in Hong Kong and his son are down with African Gold for a 3week trip.
The first week has been very productive with loads of fish being landed. Both have had personal bests with Keith having a 42LB+.
Well done Keith sure you will have plenty more over the next 2 weeks, you lucky boys
3 weeks in the sun.

Hat-trick on Easter Weekend
Local angler Riaan Swanepoel had a wonderfull Easter Holiday Weekend fishing Donaldson Dam, cathing a trio of 40pound carp and 2 thirties.

Huge Grass Carp from Wimmarpan Dam Jo Berg !!!
Dean Gay, John Pringle and Gary Hoden visited Wimmarpan Dam in Jo Berg on Monday night for a quick one night session.
After loosing a few fish Dean and John both managed to land a forty plus fish each which are both personal bests.
What a fantastic water this is full of big grassys with an average fish being 35lb and holding the current South African record of 59lb.
Gary will offer trips to this venue for customers who fish at Donaldson Dam if its a good time of year.
Cheers Gaz what a great session and cant wait to do it again !!!!!!!

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! A NEW 53LB 8oz COMMON
Great news , we are out in South Africa with Gaz Hoden and whilst making the new promo video
up at Tzaneen Dam Gaz had a phone call which was great news. Gareth Birch local south african had caught a 53lb 8oz common from Donaldson Dam.
This is fantastic news as a 50+ has not been caught at this venue for a while and is even better as its not one of the fish that Gaz expects to do 50 this year !!

African Gold
Welcome to African Gold in Feburary
Three goods friends John Pringle, Dean Gay - Chub's International consultant and Tony Davies-Patrick - Globetrotter have just arrived in Johannesburg South Africa, where African Gold's Gary Holden met them at Johannesburg's International Airport.
The three intend to start their fishing campaign at the prolific Donaldson Dam venue, before moving on to the still unknown potential of Tzaneen Dam. Finally the trio intend to fish the very awesome scenic Klaserie Dam.
Following Tony's very succussful Carp Adventures USA DVD and the very latest Carp Adventures France DVD, i'm sure the camera's will be rolling again in this once in a life time location and under the hospitality and guidance of African Gold owner Gary Holden, this will be a fish pack trip.
All three are experience in fishing South Africa and With Gary i will keep you up dated with there catch reports.
Whilst adding this up date i have just received a text from John to say all three have there baits in the water at Donaldson and Dean has had the first fish of the trip at 41lbs 8oz, not a bad start then.

African Gold January
African Gold and all involve with this amazing carp fishing destination would like to wish everyone a Happy New year.
Welcome to African Gold's first catch report of 2008.
Regular visitor to Donaldson Dam Andre had a great catch. He broke his personal best common with a fish of 41lbs and then broke his personal best mirror with a 42lbs specimen, what a great mornings fishing and yes, the Pb's were both caught in just just one morning, congratulation Andre on a wonderful brace of forty's. We look forward to receiving the photo's so we can post them on this page.
Gary Holden also inform us that two other thirty's came out during that night, sounds like Donaldson's on fire.
Good luck to the guys fishing on Donaldson at the moment and i look forward to posting more catch reports as they come in from Donaldson, Klaserie and Tzaneen Dam's.
